Credit where it is due…..

Tonight in a rare example of concerted effort (and frankly in the face of massive criticism), Linden Lab have elected to Restart the whole of SL to block the exploit of the forced unconsented TP code introduced on Magnum RC last week.

That such a situation was allowed to arise is bad, but LL simply could not allow it to continue, and credit to them, it is being tackled with almost unheard-of speed.

PS: That a “fix” for the rezzing issue that spawned SVC-7902 was apparently rolled out to Magnum RC this week was a relief to many, but I am a little surprised that it has taken so long to correct what must have been a fairly facile mistake in programming. Also, the so-called “infrastructure” changes rolled out to LeTigre these past two weeks make me wonder what upcoming permission-borking Linden Labs have in store for us. I am beginning to notice some minor but distict changes in sim performance, and the issue of sculpts becoming increasingly hard to rez as Mesh becomes easier gives me an uneasy feeling that some changes are being foisted upon SL by folk who have no idea of the gravity of their actions. Once again the house is being decorated by people who have only a passing acquaintance with the concept of paint.
