Making a difference

The recent upsurge in viewer bugs as a result of server code changes has been a hot topic on the blogs and forums of SL. Perhaps less obvious has been the response and information brought forward on the subject by Andrew and Monty Linden. Their recent posts, having perhaps been given a “heads up” by Maestro, have showed that some of the Linden Lab staff DO care enough to keep us informed.

I was also personally on the receiving end of good service, if a little confused, from SL Concierge Support in the from of TJ Linden, after our sim stuttered badly after the LeTigre RC roll today. I logged onto a sim that had taken almost one hour to restart, to find script run down at less than 75% and TD spiking down to 0.6.

After a report to Live Chat and a rapid but inaccurate response from Support, all was sorted out and the sim restarted to a new server. All our lag and script run issues disappeared and currently all is well.
Now I have been a fairly vocal critic of Linden Lab and its Support function in particular, so this was a very pleasant surprise, and I am grateful to TJ and his team for sorting us out quickly, once he had come to the sim and seen the issue for himself.

I am relieved that I did not have to chat to him directly…in my present form it would have been awkward, to say the least.
