Cerridwen’s Cauldron

Now I know Inara Pey has promoted this sim on her “Life in the Modem World” blog, but since Elicio made some changes recently it is worth a mention. Quite simply Cerridwen’s Cauldron is one of the best builds and nicest sims in SL today.

Recently Elicio decided to showcase his exotic plants in a Botanical Gardens build. It was originally to be a small additional field to the existing ones at the Arrival level leading off the Lost Hall complex. The plans did a “Topsy” and grew, incorporating a mesh ground area completely surrounding the Lost Halls build, which itself got a workover. The end result is a wonderland of plants, trees and other creations of a vaguely Botanical nature, plus recently, following his experiments with the Materials viewer from Linden Lab, some new mapping of water, in pools, lakes and boggy areas.

I append a few photos that I took of the revised upper levels of the sim, which can be seen to good effect via the two-seat Dragon-ride and the new Hot-Air Balloon, which will take you down to the ground level as well. It seats about 8 or 10, so you can take all your friends!

I’m not going to blather on about style and quality, the place speaks for itself…this is really one place that you just have to see for yourself.

It is worth mentioning that pretty well everything you see on the sim is made by Elicio and is for sale via the vendors dotted about. So you can buy his creations, which are virtually all moddable (if you have the nerve and the skill) to make your own fantasy garden. Well, you can try….!

Me? I’m still a Latex pony and to all intents and purposes, this is how I will stay. Don’t like? Don’t look. I love it and as far as I know, so does my Domina.
