Pony, one year on

Well, I have made it comfortably to the end of my first year as a full-time SL pony. It has been an interesting and challenging year, one in which I have learned a great deal about how ponysport is accomplished, and a great deal more.

I now see what Swenja Chuwen meant when she first whinnied at me at Wild Ponygirls, and what she had written on her profile. It is quite possibly the most fulfilling variant of BDSM I have encountered, and far more than that. The forms of ponysport that are commonly practiced look straightforward but are anything but! They are hard work and immensely satisfying when performed well. With a few dramatic exceptions I have found ponies to be a friendly bunch and the trainers, if approached with due manners, are equally friendly and helpful.

There is a long history of Ponyplay in SL and the late and much lamented Alicia Delphin’s book, a copy of which I have recently acquired, though written in 2008 is as good a guide for ponies and trainers as could be had. It is not cheap at 2000L$, but is worth every penny for its insight into both the outward and inward aspects of Ponyplay.

There is a thriving SL Ponyplay community, and long may it continue. This pony will be trotting around for a long time to come, RL permitting!
