Nothing’s perfect

Well, a few days into my running the new Firestorm 4.7.3 and sure enough a new BUG has reared its head. BUG-16745 refers to a strange phenomenon whereby your avatar starts to run or walk in place after standing from a ground sit. Hitting an arrow key of any type will stop it, but it is disconcerting at first. It does not happen if You are sat either on a poseball or other sit target. It is universal and I strongly suspect that it is related to the new Hover Height code in these post-SSB and AIS3 viewers. As of yet I do not know if Linden viewers show this bug but I’d be surprised if it was a purely FS BUG. I await further developments. While BUG-6925 is fixed, BUG-7761 is still around although a little less in evidence.

ETA, Tuesday 25th:
Information inworld is beginning to suggest that the issue IS FS specific. Thanks to ZZ.

ETA2, Wednesday 26th:
Further research on this topic reveals that the culprit IS LL code and the issue DOES reproduce in the latest LL viewer…my information was inaccurate…sorry.
